SUMO: The sacred spirit | Exhibition

This October, Zoia Skoropadenko presents a major exhibition at Pasona Annex Aoyama in Tokyo, bringing together her powerful contemporary artworks inspired by sumo and a selection of rare historical objects connected to its traditions.

Created through years of direct observation inside sumo stables, the exhibition reveals a world of discipline, ritual, strength and humanity—building a dialogue between Japan’s cultural heritage and contemporary art.
